Dream - Leadership has always been a subject of contention for most people. Someone's desire to hold the reins of power they have coveted will only grow stronger. In Islam, being a leader is not solely about managing state affairs. A leader must also involve religious values in carrying out their trust. Imam al-Mawardi in his book Kitab al-Ahkam al-Sulthaniah states that al-Imamah or leadership in Islam (to manage) religion and the world (state) is obligatory.

One of the characteristics of a tyrannical leader mentioned in the hadith is a foolish leader who will rule over the people. The Prophet Muhammad said, "There will be foolish leaders who will rule over you, you will recognize them and you will hate them." (HR. Muslim). Another characteristic of a tyrannical leader is corrupt behavior and plundering the wealth of the community. In another hadith, it is mentioned, "The leaders of the oppressors will be corrupt and will rob the possessions of the people."

"There will be leaders who will no longer spend their wealth (for the rightful needs), even though they need it." (HR. Bukhari). The emergence of these oppressive leaders is a small sign of the approaching Day of Judgment, indicating that the end of time is getting closer. Therefore, Muslims are reminded to be vigilant and not be deceived by these oppressive leaders. Thus, these hadiths clearly explain the characteristics of oppressive leaders who will appear in the end times and become a small sign of the Day of Judgment."

Muslims are advised to pay attention to these signs and always hold firmly to the teachings of religion to avoid the temptation of those oppressive leaders.

While the disappearance of lowly individuals as leaders is related to the lack of leadership quality and low integrity. Pious individuals tend to have a clear vision, strong values, and a commitment to serve well. On the other hand, lowly individuals tend to be selfish, irresponsible, and disregard the public interest. The difference between the two greatly affects leadership, where a pious leader is able to provide inspiration, motivate, and direct those around them.

While a despised leader may not be respected or followed by subordinates, and this can result in organizational failure. Factors that can prevent the disappearance of righteous people as leaders include good education and leadership training. To avoid leadership by despicable individuals, it is important to pay attention to a strict leader selection process and emphasize integrity and moral values in leadership.

This hadith emphasizes the importance of honest and responsible leadership. The Prophet reminds that a leader who is not trustworthy will not smell the fragrance of paradise and will receive severe punishment in the afterlife. Leaders entrusted with the responsibility of caring for their people must act with honesty and trustworthiness. They must prioritize the interests of the community and not deviate from the principles of justice.

If a leader does not fulfill his duties well, then he will receive negative consequences in the afterlife. Thus, this hadith emphasizes the importance of trustworthiness in leadership in Islam. A leader who is not trustworthy will face very serious consequences in the afterlife. This message should serve as a serious warning to leaders not to violate the trust given to them.

Rasulullah saw said: \u201cIndeed, there will come upon people years filled with deception, a liar will be justified and an honest person will be considered a liar, a traitor will be trusted and a trustworthy person will be considered a traitor, and at that time Ruwaibidhah will speak.\u201d When asked about him, he replied, \u201cWho is Ruwaibidhah?\u201d He answered, \u201cHe is a foolish person who speaks about the affairs of the masses (community).\u201d [Musnad Imam Ahmad (XV\/37-38)]

Translated text: "Narrated by Umar bin Khattab, the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "Among the signs of the Day of Judgment is that foolish people will dominate the world, and the best person at that time will be a believer between two noble individuals." [Al-Haitsami said, "Narrated by ath-Thabrani in al-Ausath with two chains of narration, and the narrators of one of them are trustworthy." Majma'uz Zawaa-id (VII/325)]."
