"First Session"

Jimly said that the Constitutional Court (MKMK) will begin the trial on Tuesday, October 31, 2023. He asked the applicants to bring expert witnesses and necessary evidence. "So the petitioner can bring experts. Look for the most expert expert, please. And also witnesses, later we will hear their arguments, why they ask for that," said Jimly.

"Previously, MKMK will hold a clarification and evidence session regarding allegations of ethical violations in the decision on presidential and vice-presidential candidate requirements. MKMK also summons one of the complainants, namely Denny Indrayana, to provide evidence of the alleged ethical violations he submitted."

As for Denny Indrayana, he requested MKMK to decide on this alleged ethical violation before November 8, 2023. Because the deadline for correcting the names of candidate pairs to the General Election Commission (KPU) is November 8, 2023. Therefore, prospective presidential and vice-presidential candidates can make name corrections until the specified time.

"If we calculate working days until November 8, there are only 10 working days. I don't know if this will be a consideration," said Denny during the meeting with MKMK. "Our concern about that controversial decision 90 is its connection to the presidential candidate in the 2024 election and the last deadline to submit the replacement is November 8, which is 10 working days from now," he added.
