Dream - Having intimate relations while fasting can certainly invalidate the worship. That is why, during fasting, one must not only refrain from eating and drinking but also control their desires. Even though they have a legitimate relationship as husband and wife, both of them must control their desires while observing the fast. Because when this rule is violated, Islam has established sanctions for those who violate it. They must either make up for the invalidated fast or pay compensation.

However, this rule does not apply when performing the fasting ritual. In this month of Ramadan, Muslims must control their desires while fasting. Engaging in sexual intercourse while fasting can invalidate the fast. For those who violate this rule, they must make up for the missed fasts outside of Ramadan or pay the specified penalty. This is explained in a narration by Abu Hurairah ra in Al Bukhari, Muslim, and Tirmidzi. There was a man who approached the Prophet Muhammad saw and said, "

"'O Messenger of Allah, I am doomed.' He asked, 'What happened to you?' The person said, 'I had sexual intercourse with my wife while I was fasting.' The Prophet Muhammad said, 'Did you find a slave whom you can set free?' The person replied, 'No.' He asked, 'Can you fast for two consecutive months?' The person answered, 'No.' He asked again, 'Can you feed sixty poor people?' The person replied, 'No'."

Abu Hurairah said, the Prophet saw remained silent for a while. When we were in that state, a basket containing dates was brought to him, and he asked, 'Where is the person who asked earlier?' The man said, 'It's me.' He said, 'Take this and give it in charity!' The man said, 'To someone poorer than me, O Messenger of Allah? By Allah! There is no one in Madinah between two black rocks - meaning two black rocks - who is poorer than the inhabitants of my house.'

The temptation of desire, especially sexual desire, can arise when you think about things related to it. It would be better if you utilize your time to focus on worship. Such as reading the Quran, praying, listening to religious lectures, and so on.

Another way to control sexual desire is by reading books. Make sure to read books that are not related to sexual matters. Choose interesting books, whether fiction or non-fiction, that can divert your attention from sexual desire.

During fasting, taking time to sleep is very good for keeping the body fit and avoiding doing forbidden things. Adequate sleep can also help you avoid stress, anxiety, and sexual desires.
