Dream - Briptu RDW, a police officer who was burned by his wife, who is also a female police officer, after being taken to the hospital, his life could not be saved. He passed away after previously suffering from burns covering 96 percent of his body and had been admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of RSUD Dr. Wahidin Sudiro Husodo, Mojokerto.
The death of Briptu RDW was confirmed by the Chief of Police of Mojokerto Kota, AKBP Daniel S Marunduri. He stated that based on the information he received, the victim was declared dead medically at 12.55 WIB.
"Medically (deceased) at 12.55 WIB initials (Briptu) RDW," he said, on Sunday, June 9, 2024. AKBP Daniel revealed that according to the family's wishes, the body of Briptu RDW will be buried in Jombang, East Java. Jombang City is known to be the hometown of Briptu RDW. "Earlier it was going to be buried in Jombang according to its origin," he said."
Wanted to be referred but the condition has not stabilized yet
The Director of RSUD Wahidin, Dr. Sulaiman Rosyid, stated that the condition of the victims, after receiving medical treatment, unfortunately remains unstable. Although the medical team wanted to refer them to a larger hospital, their condition does not allow for long-distance travel.
"Yes, initially I wanted to go there (referred to RSUD dr. Soetomo) but the condition did not stabilize, it couldn't be referred because the condition also requires special equipment, so the risk on the road is very high," said Dr. Sulaiman.
"Kasus Ditangani Polda Jatim" translates to "Case Handled by East Java Regional Police"
Regarding the perpetrator who is also the victim's wife, Briptu FN, AKBP Daniel stated that the case was transferred to the East Java Regional Police. As for the motive and the alleged article, the East Java Regional Police are still conducting an investigation.
"The suspect is allegedly already transferred to Krimum for handling. This afternoon, a case hearing was still conducted to determine the article and others. (motive?) It is still ongoing, we are still waiting," said Daniel."
