Dream - Idul Adha or the day of sacrifice has a very deep meaning for Muslims. It is not only a reminder of the story of Prophet Ibrahim and Prophet Ismail, but also an invitation for Muslims to learn about the meaning of sincerity in this life. Therefore, in celebrating Idul Adha, it should be utilized as best as possible to perform as many good deeds as possible. One of them is by performing the act of sacrifice. For Muslims who perform the sacrifice, they must know the rules and regulations, including the prayers and deeds for those who perform the sacrifice.
This prayer is offered during the sacrificial animal slaughter procession. This moment should be utilized to pray as best as possible.
The prayer practice for those who sacrifice is very easy, namely the recitation of iftitah that you recite during prayer. The following is the prayer practice for those who sacrifice as summarized by Dream through various sources.
"For Dream friends who are sacrificing, you should not forget to read the prayer practice for those who sacrifice as follows:"
"Inni wajjahtu wajhiya lilladzi fatharas samawati wal arh hanifan muslimaw wa ma ana minal musyrikin. Inna sholati wanusuki wamahyaya wamamati lillahi robbil alamin. La syarikalahu wabidzalika umirtu wa anaminal muslimin. Artinya: 'I have turned my face towards Allah, who has created the heavens and the earth, in a state of sincerity and submission, and I am not one of the polytheists.'"
Indeed, my prayer, worship, life and death are solely for Allah, the Lord of the Universe, who has no partners. Therefore, I am commanded not to associate any partners with Him. And I am among the Muslims. "Prayer and practice for those who sacrifice are recited during the process of sacrificing the sacrificial animal. Considering that those who sacrifice are required to witness the process of sacrificing the sacrificial animal. Therefore, it is important for friends of Dream who are sacrificing to inquire about it to the committee regarding the turn of their sacrificial animal to be slaughtered."
The following are some virtues of sacrificing for Muslims that friends of Dream need to know:
Berkurban is a moment to share blessings with others. Especially for those who are in great need. As explained in the words of Allah SWT in Surah Al-An'am verse 142: "Among the livestock, there are those used as transportation and there are those for slaughter. Eat the sustenance that Allah has given to you. Do not follow the footsteps of Satan. Indeed, he is a clear enemy to you."
Another virtue of sacrificing for Muslims is that it can calm the soul. This is as the Prophet Muhammad said: "There is no deed that humans do on the Day of Eid al-Adha that is more beloved to Allah than sacrificing animals. Indeed, the sacrificed animal will come on the Day of Judgment with its horns, fur, and hooves. Indeed, before the blood of the sacrifice reaches the ground, its reward has been accepted by Allah. So calm the soul by sacrificing." (H.R. Tirmidhi)
Sacrifice is one of the deeds that Allah SWT loves very much. Its implementation is on the day of Eid al-Adha on the 10th of Dhu al-Hijjah. The Prophet Muhammad said: "There is no wealth that is more beloved to Allah than when it is used to buy a sacrificial animal to be slaughtered on the day of Eid." (HR. Ath-Thabrani)
The special virtue of sacrificing is that it can erase sins. Considering that we as humans certainly have sins, whether they are small or big sins. Throughout life, these sins have the opportunity to be forgiven by Allah SWT. One of them is by sacrificing. The Prophet Muhammad said, "O Fatimah, rise and witness your sacrificial animal, indeed every sin you commit will be forgiven since the first drop of blood from that sacrificial animal."
In a hadith, someone who performs a sacrifice will receive rewards. Every part of the sacrificial animal's body holds goodness, even from its fur. As the Prophet Muhammad said: "O Messenger of Allah, what is the significance of performing a sacrifice?" The Prophet answered, "This is the tradition of your ancestor, Prophet Ibrahim." The companions asked again, "What is our share in it, O Messenger of Allah?" The Prophet replied, "There is goodness in every strand of its fur." The companions asked, "What about the wool?" The Prophet answered, "There is goodness in every strand of wool." (Narrated by Ibn Majah)
Through these practices, it will bring abundant rewards for those who do them.
