Dream - In addition to taking care of their pregnancy, pregnant mothers can fill their time by performing acts of worship such as reading the Quran. Through the verses they read, pregnant mothers communicate with their fetus to not forget about worship. Through this letter, there is also hope that their child will grow up to be a morally upright and beneficial individual to those around them.

There are many letters from the Quran, besides Yusuf and Maryam, that can be practiced while the mother is pregnant. Quoting from the book "Manhaj At-Tarbiyah An-Nawaqiyaj Lit-Thifl" by Muhammad Nur Abdul Hafidz Suwaid, it is mentioned some recommended remembrances to be recited by pregnant women.

The following is a list of recommended verses from the Quran to be read by pregnant women, as mentioned in a hadith narrated by the beloved Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) to his beloved daughter, Fatimah Az-Zahra. 1. Surat Al-Baqarah Ayat 255 (Ayat Kursi) This translation is already in English and does not contain any html tags.

Allah, there is no deity except Him, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer of existence. Neither drowsiness overtakes Him nor sleep. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. Who is it that can intercede with Him except by His permission? He knows what is before them and what will be after them, and they encompass not a thing of His knowledge except for what He wills. His Kursi extends over the heavens and the earth, and their preservation tires Him not. And He is the Most High, the Most Great.

Meaning of Ayat Kursi

"Allah, there is no god but Him. The Ever-Living, The One who sustains and manages (His creatures), neither drowsiness nor sleep overtakes Him. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. No one can intercede with Him except by His permission. He knows what is before them and what is behind them, and they do not comprehend anything of His knowledge except what He wills. His throne extends over the heavens and the earth, and their preservation tires Him not. And He is the Most High, the Most Great.""

2. Surat Al-A'raf Ayat 54:
The translated text in English while preserving the HTML tags is: "Indeed, your Lord is Allah, who created the heavens and the earth in six days and then established Himself above the Throne. He covers the night with the day, [another night] chasing it rapidly; and [He created] the sun, the moon, and the stars, subjected by His command. Unquestionably, His is the creation and the command; blessed is Allah, Lord of the worlds."

"Inna rabbakumullāhullażī khalaqas-samāwāti wal-arḍa fī sittati ayyāmin ṣummastawā 'alal-'arsh, yugsyil-lailan-nahāra yaṣṭabuhu ḥaṣīṣaw wa-sh-shamsa wal-qamara wa-n-nujūma musakhkharātim bi`amrihī alā lahul-khalqu wal-amr, tabārakallāhu rabbul-'ālamīn" Translation: "Indeed, your Lord is Allah, who created the heavens and the earth in six days and then established Himself above the Throne. He covers the night with the day, which is in pursuit of it rapidly, and the sun, the moon, and the stars are subjected by His command. Unquestionably, His is the creation and the command. Blessed is Allah, Lord of all the worlds."

Meaning of Surah Al-A'raf verse 54:
"Indeed, your Lord is Allah who created the heavens and the earth in six periods, then He established Himself above the Throne. He covers the night with the day, which follows it rapidly. (He created) the sun, the moon, and the stars, subjected to His command. Remember! All creation and affairs belong to Him. Allah, the Lord of all the worlds, is Most Holy."

"(QS. Al-A'raf: 54)" translates to "(QS. Al-A'raf: 54)" in English.

3. Surat Yunus Ayat 3:
إِنَّ رَبَّكُمُ اللَّهُ الَّذِي خَلَقَ السَّمَوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ فِي سِتَّةِ أَيَّامٍ ثُمَّ اسْتَوَىٰ عَلَى الْعَرْشِ يُدَبِّرُ الْأَمْرَ ۖ مَا مِنْ شَفِيعٍ إِلَّا مِنْ بَعْدِ إِذْنِهِ ۚ ذَٰلِكُمُ اللَّهُ رَبُّكُمْ فَاعْبُدُوهُ ۚ أَفَلَا تَذَكَّرُونَ

"Indeed, your Lord is Allah who created the heavens and the earth in six periods, then He established Himself above the Throne (the supreme seat of authority) to manage all affairs. None can intercede except with His permission. That is Allah, your Lord, so worship Him. Have you not taken heed?"

4. Surat Al-Ikhlas, Al-Falaq, and An-Nas

The following is the translation of the given 'Bahasa' text to 'English' while preserving any html tags: "The recommended Surahs from the Quran to be read by pregnant women are Surah Al-Ikhlas, Surah Al-Falaq, and Surah An-Nas. These three Surahs indeed have extraordinary virtues for Muslims, one of which is when practiced by a pregnant mother. These Surahs serve as prayers for the health of the baby in the womb and for the smooth delivery of the mother."

5. Surah Al-Ahqaf verse 35

فَا صْبِرْ كَمَا صَبَرَ اُولُوا الْعَزْمِ مِنَ الرُّسُلِ وَلَا تَسْتَعْجِلْ لَّهُمْ ۗ كَاَ نَّهُمْ يَوْمَ يَرَوْنَ مَا يُوْعَدُوْنَ ۙ لَمْ يَلْبَثُوْۤا اِلَّا سَا عَةً مِّنْ نَّهَا رٍ ۗ بَلٰغَجِ ۚ فَهَلْ يُهْلَكُ اِلَّا الْقَوْمُ الْفٰسِقُوْنَ Faṣbir kamā ṣabara ulul-'azmi minar-rusuli wa lā tasta'jil lahum, ka`annahum yauma yarauna mā yụ'adụna lam yalbaṡū illā sā'atam min nahār, balāg, fa hal yuhlaku illal-qaumul-fāsiqụn

The meaning of Surah Al-Ahqaf verse 35:
"So be patient, [O Muhammad], as were those of determination among the messengers and do not be impatient for them. It will be - on the Day they see that which they are promised - as though they had not remained [in the world] except for an afternoon or a morning thereof.""

6. Surat An-Naziat Ayat 46

On the day when they see it, it will be as if they had not tarried [in the world] except for an afternoon or a morning thereof.

7. Surah Yusuf verse 111

لَـقَـدْ كَانَ فِي قَصَصِهِمْ عَبْرَةً لِأَوَّلِي الْأَلْبَابِ بَـ ٧ مَا كَانَ حَدِيثًا يُفْتَرَىٰ وَلَـكِنْ تَصْدِيقَ الَّذِي بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ وَتَفْصِيلَ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ وَهُدًى وَرَحْمَةً لِقَوْمٍ يُؤْمِنُونَ This text is in Arabic and it translates to: "Indeed, in their stories, there is a lesson for people of understanding. It is not a fabricated tale, but a confirmation of what came before it, and a detailed explanation of all things, and guidance and mercy for people who believe."

The meaning of Surah Yusuf verse 111 is:
"Indeed, in their stories there are lessons for those who have intellect. (Al-Quran) is not a fabricated story, but it confirms the books that came before it, explaining everything, and serving as guidance and mercy for the believers."
