Dream - The government's plan to move the capital city from Jakarta to IKN Nusantara in East Kalimantan (Kaltim) will soon be realized. Since it was announced by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) in 2019, the construction of various facilities in IKN has been accelerated until now. The massive development of IKN can already be seen in just five years. Several government agencies will be able to move to IKN in July 2024.
In the uploaded video, the Instagram account @anthonysudarsono shows the construction at IKN for five years.
He showed various angles in the Sepaku region that have been filled with various heavy vehicles and building frameworks for the construction of various facilities. Just like Bandung Bondowoso built Candi Prambanan overnight, the account owner showed the transformation of Sepaku within a year. The area that used to be a wild forest has been transformed into a full building framework in just one year.
The account owner revealed that the development at IKN was done massively within one year. After seeing it firsthand, I was amazed to see the rapid construction of various facilities inside IKN that was beyond belief. "Honestly, after seeing it with my own eyes, I was completely amazed. The development was truly massive within one year. Can you imagine, from a forest like this, suddenly there are many buildings like this in just one year? Honestly, it's unbelievable," he said.
The account owner then asked local residents about the progress of the construction at IKN, which is progressing very quickly. It turns out that the implementation of working hours is one of the factors that make the construction of IKN fast. The working hours are 24 hours and divided into three shifts. In addition, most of the workers for the construction at IKN are from outside of Java. "Until I asked the residents there, it turns out that the work is done 24 hours, three shifts, and most of the employees are from outside of Java," he said.
Workers are provided with housing facilities in the form of dormitories that can accommodate tens of thousands of people. All workers are given strict military-like rules and supervision, such as being transported by bus or truck and not being allowed to leave before work hours are over. "They (employees) are placed in dormitories like this that can accommodate tens of thousands of people. They are like the military building fortresses when there are zombies. Living in chaos, being transported by bus, and strict military-like supervision that does not allow them to leave before work hours are over," he explained.
Not only about its super fast construction, the account owner also invites the Indonesian community to invest in IKN. According to him, IKN offers many opportunities for those who intend to open new businesses, such as building stores, engineering stores, restaurants, transportation, and accommodations that are still not available in the area. "But, instead of being spectators, you can create businesses that support the project. Starting from building stores, engineering stores, delicious restaurants, to minimal accommodations, it's really a great opportunity," he said. Report: Nisya Aprilya.
The account owner revealed that his house was once flooded in early 2020, reaching the height of an adult's neck.
