Challenges come in various forms, one of which is the mysterious disappearance of a partner, as experienced by a Malaysian woman named Effa. In a story published on the mStar website, Effa suspected that her husband had been enchanted by an Indonesian woman. Because of this enchantment, according to Effa, her husband, who had lived with her for seven years, could not be found for three years.

Effa tried various ways to find her husband. Because she was extremely confused, she began her search by following her belief. "I read Yasin, Al-Wakiah, and Al-Mulk starting from Friday night. I read them consecutively for one week and Allah provided guidance as if watching a movie," said Effa.

"Apparently, he was under a spell, enchanted; he married a woman who wanted to obtain citizenship status," Effa said. For Effa, the dark incident that happened eleven years ago is still fresh in her memory. It feels like it just happened. According to Effa, her husband's life became worse and neglected in the third year of their marriage with the woman suspected to be from Indonesia."

The suffering of Effa's husband began when the Indonesian woman failed in her desire to obtain Malaysian citizenship. "In the third year, she applied for citizenship but couldn't because they got married without registering," said Effa. Because her desire was not fulfilled, the Indonesian woman then dumped Effa's husband. Consequently, Effa's husband was left abandoned and lost his job.

Although claiming to have been given instructions about her husband's condition, Effa admitted that she initially did not know the whereabouts of her husband. "I saw my husband digging through the trash can. I cried out in anguish seeing his emaciated body, just skin and bones," Effa said. After meeting her husband, Effa took him home. Her husband still appeared restless. "I continued to give him Yasin water to drink, and shortly after that, he vomited black liquid like foul sewer water, accompanied by hair," she said.

Effa continues to recite Yasin and Al-Fatihah for her husband, even though he is back with the Indonesian woman. She keeps reciting those verses to break the woman's spell. However, the "long-distance treatment" is "returned" by the woman who has taken her husband. Since then, Effa has been continuously haunted by subtle disturbances, including fireballs that are sent to her every night.

"Little balls of fire flew around the house, hitting the door and walls but bouncing back. Two weeks later, the husband returned on his own and he seemed to be sane," Effa added. The husband then invited Effa to meet the Indonesian woman. They wanted to resolve the issue. "In front of me, he divorced that woman and admitted to not being aware that he was married to her," Effa said.
