According to Tony, there is a similarity between making music and leading the mining company Freeport with all its challenges. "Leading a company is like leading an orchestra. Each player has their own expertise. That's why a conductor can organize everything into one rhythm, creating harmony," said Tony as interviewed by the Dream Editorial team some time ago.

"Just like a company, how do we organize each expert in their field into one unity," he added. Although 51% of the shares are now controlled by Indonesia, Tony does not deny that there are still many assumptions about Freeport being owned by America. Some issues even mention that Freeport is exploiting the wealth of Papua to be sent to America. Tony asserts that Freeport has always belonged to Indonesia and Papua."

Tony revealed Freeport's commitment to the people of Papua, especially those living around the mining area. He said that currently, 41 percent of the workforce at Freeport consists of native Papuans, and one member of the board of directors is the best native Papuan son.

"There are some who say that all this time Freeport did not know what was being transported to America. We have never sent anything to America," said Tony. "Every shipment is subject to customs duties, reported to the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM), and export activities are recorded.
