Dirga admits that he is a member of the UNM student alliance and intends to convey a number of issues at UNM directly to the rector. "Regarding the obligation to purchase almamater, the SK review of UKT, the obligation to take the basic scout proficiency course (KMD) at PGSD UNM, institutional development fees, and the new student website that experienced an error, that's what we want to convey in a good manner," said Dirga, as quoted from Kabar Makassar, Wednesday, July 11, 2024.

"While, in the campus policy, new students are required to purchase in order to obtain a student identification number. 'So the instruction is to have an obligation to own an alma mater. Second, the unm account that informs the re-registration of new students in that account conveys that there are several requirements that must be fulfilled for NIM registration. One of them is to include a receipt for the purchase of an alma mater, so that is what makes all new students obliged to purchase,' he explained."

When he wanted to convey the aspirations, he was instead accused of being a broker and provoking the students. "Previously we spoke well, there was no intention to provoke, insult the rector or other lecturers," he said.

"However, suddenly me and my special friend were accused of being scalpers, not UNM students, that's why in the video I was asked for my student ID card, so I showed it. I am indeed a UNM student," said Dirga. Before the argument, according to Dirga, he had a dialogue with the rector and was accompanied by a new student who was suspected of not being able to afford to buy a university jacket. After that, he was suddenly separated by his colleague and told to go home by the said lecturer."

Meanwhile, Head of Public Relations of UNM, Burhanuddin, stated that he does not have the authority to clarify the information regarding the viral video. "It is not my right to speak about it, try asking those directly involved," said Burhan.
