Dream - In this month of Ramadan, in addition to fasting, Muslims must also prepare to face the Nuzulul Quran. What is Nuzulul Quran? Nuzulul Quran is the event of the revelation of the Quran from Allah SWT, which serves as a guide and instruction for the lives of all Muslims in the world. The night of Nuzulul Quran is very special for Muslims. That is why, on this night, Muslims fill it with various acts of worship. Such as remembrance, recitation, seclusion, and so on.

Meanwhile, in terms of terminology, Nuzulul Quran is the way and phase of the descent of the Quran from Allah SWT to Prophet Muhammad saw. Quoted from nu.or.id, Nuzulul Quran is the event of the descent of the Quran to Prophet Muhammad saw. The Quran is the holy book of Muslims that was revealed in Makkah and Madinah. This is because there are several chapters in the Quran that were revealed in Makkah and some were revealed in Madinah. The descent of the Quran occurred gradually, over a period of 23 years.

"Where the Quran was revealed from the sky to Prophet Muhammad. This is explained in the book Al-Bidayah wan Nihayah: 'The beginning of revelation (the descent of the Quran) to Prophet Muhammad coincided with Monday night on the seventeenth night of the month of Ramadan. And it is said to coincide with the 24th of Ramadan.' In addition, some scholars say that the Quran was revealed in the month of Ramadan, coinciding with the night of Lailatul Qadar."

This is explained in the Quran through Surah Al-Qadr verses 1-3: "Indeed, We revealed it (the Quran) in the Night of Power. And what can make you know what is the Night of Power? The Night of Power is better than a thousand months." (Quran, Surah Al-Qadr: 1-3) In the year 2024, on Thursday, March 28th, the 17th of Ramadan, which is the commemoration of the Revelation of the Quran, falls. On the night of Nuzulul Quran, Muslims should increase their prayers and night prayers. Because on this night, it becomes the most important part of the life of Prophet Muhammad, namely receiving the miracle in the form of the Quran.

Dear Dream friends can also perform i'tikaf in the mosque during the night of Nuzulul Quran. I'tikaf itself is staying in the mosque and performing acts of worship that are intended for the sake of Allah SWT. These acts of worship can include remembrance of Allah, reading the Quran, praying, and performing night prayers. The recommendation for i'tikaf is explained in a hadith: "The Prophet saw performed i'tikaf on the last ten days of the month of Ramadan, (he did it) since he arrived in Madinah until he passed away, then his wives performed i'tikaf after he passed away." Other practices during Nuzulul Quran include reciting the Quran. In this commemoration, Muslims should be more enthusiastic about reading and completing the Quran. Because behind it, there are rewards and also the glory of Allah SWT.
