Dream - Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Menparekraf) Sandiaga Uno became the subject of jokes by members of the Indonesia Maju Cabinet because his party, PPP, did not pass the DPR in the 2024 Election. The moment happened when President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and the ministers reported the Annual Notification Letter (SPT) at the State Palace, Jakarta, on Friday, March 22, 2024.
After the reporting process, Jokowi and the ministers had a chat. Then Minister of Investment Bahlil Lahadalia joked about PPP. He related it to Sandi's tax report. "Mr. Sandi wanted to pay more taxes, but PPP hasn't passed yet," Bahlil quipped to Jokowi.

After the meeting, Sandiaga admitted that he was not offended by Bahlil's joke about PPP's failure to pass the 4 percent parliamentary threshold. "Mr. Bahlil always has his jokes. Mr. Bahlil's joke earlier was, 'the tax payment is the highest, but the 4 percent is not enough,'" said Sandiaga, as quoted from Liputan6.com.

"PPP Vote Acquisition"
PPP did not pass to the DPR based on the results of the 2024 Election vote recapitulation conducted by the General Election Commission (KPU). PPP received 5,878,777 votes or equivalent to 3.87 percent of the national valid votes. To obtain seats in the DPR, a party needs a minimum of 4 percent of the votes.
