Dream - The appearance of several cone-shaped mountains like pyramids triggers various conspiracy theories in society. These pyramid-shaped mountains are located in Guizhou Province, China. People call it the Anlong Pyramid because it is located in Anlong County. It is called a pyramid because its shape is similar to the Egyptian pyramids that are known to the world.
Quoting from Oddity Central, in recent years Kabupaten Anlong has become a popular tourist destination thanks to its pyramid-shaped mountains. Its resemblance to ancient Egyptian sites has successfully captured the imagination of millions of people around the world.
Apart from its pyramid-like shape, these mountain formations also have neatly arranged layers of rocks, as if someone or something intentionally built them.
Since photos and videos of the Anlong Pyramid started circulating online around 2018, conspiracy theories about its origins began to emerge. Despite experts' efforts to convince the public that these pyramids are entirely natural, there are still some people who believe that they are the result of ancient human civilization or even the creation of aliens.
According to Zhou Qiuwen, a professor at Guizhou Normal University, Anlong Pyramid is formed from karst rocks that are approximately 200 million years old. When the area was still a shallow sea, minerals began to dissolve in water and then recrystallized into dolomite.
Dolomite is the main component of the pyramid. Due to periodic changes in climate, geological structure, and other factors, the stacked layers of stone become very clearly visible.
In addition, Professor Zhou also explained that the stone structure resembling a block, which many people consider as evidence of human or alien intervention, is the result of natural geological processes. Small cracks within the stone allow water to slowly erode it, creating segmented formations like blocks.
Regarding the pyramid shape of this karst rock, Professor Zhou explained that the karst topography in the area undergoes vertical erosion by water, where the upper layers erode faster and the lower layers erode slower. This results in a pyramid-like shape with a sharp peak and a wide base.
Although there is a scientific explanation, people continue to speculate about the origin of the Anlong Pyramid. Some claim that the Anlong Pyramid is an ancient tomb built by an ancient civilization. Meanwhile, others say that this pyramid is a prototype of the actual pyramid. Some even argue that the Anlong Pyramid is the result of alien work.
So, the pyramid located in China is a pyramid that formed due to geological processes that took place hundreds of millions of years ago. Its pyramid-like structure has successfully attracted public attention, triggering various conspiracy theories.
