Sierra Leone is one of the countries that has stunning natural beauty. However, the number of tourists visiting this country every year is very small. In 2019, Sierra Leone was only visited by around 71,000 foreign tourists.

Before the Covid-19 pandemic, North Korea received around 100,000 to 150,000 tourists every year. However, only a few of them came from Western countries.

Only around 39,000 tourists visited Papua New Guinea in 2020, a drastic decrease from 211,000 visitors in 2019. This makes it one of the countries that is rarely visited by tourists.

Kiribati, or the Sovereign Republic of Kiribati located in Micronesia, welcomed a total of 12,000 tourists in 2019. The minimal presence of tourists may be due to the geographical isolation of this country.

Unlike other countries, Bhutan has rules that limit the number of tourist visits. In 2019, approximately 300,000 tourists visited Bhutan. However, in 2020, the number drastically dropped to only 30,000 tourists.

In 2019, Tuvalu only received 3,600 foreign tourists, which is actually an increase from a lower number in previous years. In 2012, Tuvalu only had 1,000 tourists.

According to a report from the World Bank, there were only 45,000 tourists who visited Komoro in 2019. The low number of visits to the country may be attributed to high levels of poverty and severe political tension domestically.

In 2019, Vanuatu only received around 256,000 tourists, a decrease compared to the number of visits in previous years. In 2012, the number of tourist visits to Vanuatu reached 300,000 people.
