Recipe Chicken Szechuan Dumplings Original
Dumpling Ingredients:250 grams minced chicken1 stalk of spring onion, finely chopped2 cloves of garlic, finely chopped1 tablespoon soy sauce1 tablespoon sesame oil1 teaspoon grated ginger1 tablespoon oyster sauce1 teaspoon sugarSalt and pepper to tasteReady-to-use dumpling wrappers
Szechuan Ingredients:2 tablespoons chili oil2 tablespoons soy sauce1 tablespoon black vinegar (can be replaced with balsamic vinegar)1 tablespoon sugar1 teaspoon Szechuan pepper, roughly crushed1 clove garlic, finely chopped1 stalk green onion, finely chopped (optional)1 tablespoon chicken broth or boiled water
"How to Make Dumplings:"
Mix minced chicken with scallions, garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil, grated ginger, oyster sauce, sugar, salt, and pepper. Stir until all ingredients are well combined. Take one sheet of wonton wrapper, place about 1 teaspoon of filling in the middle. Moisten the edges of the wonton wrapper with a little water. Then fold it into a triangle shape or desired shape, making sure the edges are tightly sealed.
Boil water in a large pot. Put the dumplings into the boiling water and cook until the dumplings float to the surface, about 3-5 minutes. Lift and drain.
"How to Make Szechuan Sauce:"
Heat chili oil in a small pan over medium heat. Add minced garlic and crushed Szechuan pepper. Sauté until fragrant. Add soy sauce, black vinegar, sugar, and chicken broth or boiling water.
