Dream - Traffic density on the toll roads leading to cities in Central Java and East Java has started to occur. Anticipating the density, the police have implemented odd-even rules for toll road users since Friday, April 5, 2024.
Although quite effective in reducing the majority, the large volume of vehicles from travelers still causes traffic jams. Not to mention, there are still many travelers who violate the even-odd rules for using toll roads during the homecoming flow.
The police and the Department of Transportation reported that there were a total of 608 holiday vehicles known to have violated the even-odd rule.
The following 'Bahasa' text translated to 'English' while preserving any html tags: "Violators will receive electronic traffic tickets as a form of sanction for the violations they commit."
"We are handling 608 cases that we have successfully addressed, after the 16th we will send the confirmation letter,"
Kakorlantas Polri Irjen Aan Suhanan said as quoted from Liputan6.com.
Electronic traffic ticket is a form of traffic ticket that is sent electronically to the violators. This traffic ticket contains information about the committed violation, the amount of fine that needs to be paid, and instructions regarding the payment process of the fine.
Fine for Traffic Violation Rp500,000.
"In enforcing the odd-even rule on the Trans Java Toll Road, the police and the Transportation Agency use an integrated electronic monitoring system with an electronic ticketing system. This system allows for automatic detection of odd-even violations based on vehicle license plate numbers."
In this case, travelers who violate the odd-even rule will be detected by the system and receive an electronic traffic ticket that will be sent to the registered address of the vehicle owner.
This electronic ticket must be promptly followed up by the vehicle owner by paying a fine of Rp500,000.
