Anwar Usman is Jokowi's brother-in-law. He married Jokowi's younger sister, Idayati. Pertamina Niaga also stated that the appointment of the position is in accordance with the applicable regulations.

Irto also explained that during his work at Pertamina, Joko Priambodo has shown outstanding performance. "During his work at Pertamina, the person in question (Joko Priambodo) also demonstrated excellent performance," he said.

The excellent performance, according to Irto, can be seen from the numerous awards received by Joko Priambodo from the company, thus entering the Top Talent Management list of Pertamina group.

Irto explained that Joko Priambodo has joined Pertamina since 2017 and has been building his career from the bottom up.

As for Joko Priambodo's experience at Pertamina, it includes Stakeholder Relations Management at PT Pertamina (Persero), Board of Director Office at PT Pertamina (Persero), Sales Branch Manager in Yogyakarta. Then, Sales Area Manager in Banten, and in the logistics field, he has experience at PT Pertamina International Shipping.

The appointment of Joko Priambodo as Director of Marketing and Operations at Patra Logistik has attracted public attention because he is the son-in-law of former Chairman of the Constitutional Court, Anwar Usman. Anwar Usman is the brother-in-law of President Joko Widodo, who was removed from his position as Chairman of the Constitutional Court due to proven serious violations of the ethical code and behavior of constitutional judges regarding the decision to change the age limit for presidential and vice-presidential candidates.
