Dream - President Jokowi has prepared a sacrificial animal for Idul Adha 1445 H, which falls on June 17, 2024. He bought a cow from a farmer in the Pedukuhan Depok area, Wonolelo Village, Pleret District, Bantul Regency, Special Region of Yogyakarta.
"Out of the three cows that we submitted for selection as sacrificial animals for the President, it turns out that one of our cows was chosen and desired by Mr. Jokowi as the sacrificial animal."
The following 'Bahasa' text translated to 'English' while preserving any html tags: "said cattle farmer Zuli Nuryanto quoted from Liputan6.com, Monday, June 10, 2024."
Zuli Nuryanto feels proud that his cow has been purchased by the number one person in Indonesia, namely. He said that his cow was chosen by Jokowi through the Presidential Secretariat of the State Secretariat Ministry. As for the type of cow purchased, it is PO (Peranakan Ongole), with a live weight of almost one ton, or precisely 934 kilograms.
Zuli said, the cow is one of the 10 cows from farmers in Bantul Regency that were registered with the Department of Food Security and Agriculture (DKPP) Bantul to be selected by the team from the DIY Regional Government and the central government at the Secretariat of the President of the Republic of Indonesia.
"So every year, Bantul inventories big and healthy cows in Bantul. Then we submit three cows as representatives of Bantul, if there are a total of 10 cows in all of Bantul, and it turns out my cow was chosen."
he said.
Zuli stated that before being chosen by President Jokowi to be bought as a sacrificial animal, his cow underwent a thorough examination including its health, weight, and other factors by the Yogyakarta Veterinary Center and a team from the Presidential Secretariat.
"There are various checks, the most important of which is the health of the cows being checked related to blood, urine, saliva, all kinds of feces, and only after passing that, the weight of the cows. About a week ago, I was contacted directly by the Presidential Secretariat, that my cow was chosen."
he said.
Regarding the price of the cow purchased by Jokowi, Zuli, who works as a member of the Indonesian National Police in the Bantul Police Resort (Polres), did not mention it exactly, but it was agreed that the price was nearly Rp100 million.
"If it's about the price, it comes directly from there (Setneg), not from here. If the price at that time was initially proposed at Rp110 million, it was reduced to almost Rp100 million. Around that amount, give or take."
