Dream - PT Global Digital Niaga Tbk (Blibli) ensures customer data security, following a surge in ransomware cyber attacks on temporary national data centers (PDNS) owned by the government.

Head of Value Added Service (VAS) Blibli, David Michum, said that Blibli is the only e-commerce in Indonesia that has ISO 27001 data security certification. "We may be the only e-commerce that has ISO 27001, it guarantees the security of customer data," said David to Dream in Jakarta, Tuesday, July 2, 2024.

"With the certification, David continued, Blibli considers customer data security to be very important. 'So Blibli is the only one that has ISO 27001. It means that we consider customer data security to be very important, all data is based on ISO 27.001 regulations for customer data security,' he said."

So far, David assesses that there is no indication of data leakage in the technology system at Blibli. According to David, customer complaints have mostly been related to issues such as wrong sizes and others.

"If it comes to this point, so far there has been none, for these 13 years that's what we really have. And indeed, we directly go to all partner banks, so our relationship regarding data security is also a shared responsibility."

Responding to the issue of PDNS being affected by the Brain Cipher ransomware attack, David responded that they have no connection to the data stored in PDNS. "I don't know the connection, because we are not users, we are not users, so we don't know. I can't say anything, but what is certain is that we highly prioritize the security of customer data," he said.

In the same opportunity, Blibli introduces two features in its services, namely Click & Collect and Trade-In program. This service adds convenience to shopping at Blibli as a pioneer of omnichannel commerce.

Click&Collect offers the flexibility of shopping online and then picking up the items offline.
