Dream - This is the story of a woman in China who plans to experience 100 jobs after deciding to quit her full-time job. She is determined to do one job every day. The woman in her 20s identifies herself on social media as Chizao. She comes from Sichuan province in southwest China.
According to SCMP, Chizao resigned from his full-time job at a media company that he had been working at for years since graduating from college. He felt that his job routine was boring and made him less interested in the world. After deciding to quit from that exhausting job, so far he has tried 30 different jobs every day. Chizao has been a tea shop server, courier, opera singer, and even a firefighter.
On the story, Chizao received appreciation for the difficulties experienced in every job. He has also attracted 6 million followers on social media because of his ambitious plan to try 100 different jobs, each only for one day.
Chizao wants to gain insight into various professions. Although it is not easy to find an employer who hires someone for just one day. After countless rejections, he finally got accepted as an assistant in a pet store. Despite having a dog of his own, he says that his workload is very exhausting because he has to bathe five dogs at once. Especially since Chizao has been assigned to bathe a Shiba Inu dog that is known to be very hyperactive.
The next job is as a ju ben sha facilitator, or a murder mystery game, working on a pig farm, babysitting. He also takes on jobs as a waist drum dancer and cashier assistant at a store.
"After several jobs and gaining more online followers, Chizao said that it has become easier to find other jobs, even receiving invitations from the Chengdu Fire and Rescue Department to participate in a one-day firefighting training."
The experience turned out to be the most challenging experience for her so far. Chizao said that she wakes up at 5 am and starts training at 6:30 am by running a distance of 3 km. She undergoes professional firefighter training, including climbing ropes and running in the scorching heat of summer while carrying two fire hoses weighing up to 40kg. This young woman said that she had thought about quitting halfway. However, she brushed off that desire and continued because she was motivated by the thought that real firefighters would not give up easily when saving lives.
In the next job as a server at a traditional Chinese tea shop, Chizao met a fellow employee named Lao Qi, a middle-aged man who had experienced intellectual disabilities after falling ill when he was young and had been working at the shop for a decade.
Chizao was touched by Lao's innocence and perseverance. He admires his character, which he considers authentic and without a desire to conform to societal expectations.
Chizao has gained 6 million followers on various social media platforms, including 2 million followers on Douyin or TikTok. He said that the goal of his plan is to share with others about how different professions are equally beautiful and deserving of respect. After experiencing various types of jobs and meeting people who dedicate their lives to those jobs, he said that he has gained appreciation for the difficulties experienced in each job.
Fortunately, her belongings were still intact when the owner found them
