The Trans-Borneo Railway project will span 1,620 kilometers from the west side to the east side of Kalimantan, crossing three Southeast Asian countries.

There will be four terminals that function as the main hub of the high-speed train network, along with a total of 24 stations. The high-speed train is expected to reach speeds of up to 350 kilometers per hour. This project is estimated to cost US$70 billion or approximately Rp1,113 trillion.

In response to that, President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) emphasized that until now there has been no official communication from Brunei Darussalam regarding the plan for the construction of the high-speed train.

Despite that, Jokowi admitted that he is not unfamiliar with this plan. According to him, the plan to build a high-speed train connecting three countries is an old plan.
