"Dream - The Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, Airlangga Hartarto, stated that Indonesia has entered the upper middle income country category. According to him, not many countries can consistently enter this category amid global uncertainty post-Covid-19. "Post-Covid, we have entered the upper middle income country category again; not many countries have consistently entered the upper middle category," said Airlangga, quoted from Merdeka.com, Friday, January 26, 2024."
Factors for Indonesia to Enter the Upper Middle-Income Country.
"One of the factors that allows Indonesia to enter the upper-middle-income countries is the export performance throughout 2023, which managed to reach US$258.82 billion compared to the import value of US$221.89 billion."
"Thus, the macro steps taken by the Indonesian government are actually on the right track," said Airlangga."
Per Capita Income Projection 2024
The Chairman of the Golkar Party also predicts that Indonesia's per capita income in 2024 will reach between US$5,000 and US$5,400.
"We estimate that in 2024 our per capita income could reach between US$5,000 and US$5,400,"

"Additionally, Airlangga mentioned the long-term project Giant Sea Wall (GSW) aimed at maintaining the sustainability of Java Island as one of the national economic engines."
"He assesses that the coastal protection of Java Island will enhance resilience both economically and in terms of security. This is because the northern corridor of Java is a corridor that should not be disturbed."
"Well, one of the ways to avoid disruptions is to reduce logistic costs to below 20 percent. One of them is the Patimban Port. So besides Tanjung Priok, Tanjung Emas, and Tanjung Perak, there is Patimban," he concluded."
