Julien Navas visited the country to witness the launch of the United Launch Alliance's Vulcan Centaur Rocket in Cape Canaveral, Florida, and eventually traveled to New Orleans with a friend.

When in Louisiana, Navas learned about the Crater of Diamonds and decided to visit the park before leaving the country.

"I am very happy! All I can think about is telling my fiancé about what I found," he said. Navas named his discovery as Berlian Carine, in accordance with his fiancée's name."

"When it rains in the field, the rain sweeps the soil and uncovers heavy rocks, minerals, and diamonds near the surface," he continued.
