"Dream - The Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) once again held a free homecoming program for Idul Fitri or Lebaran 2024."
The Ministry led by Erick Thohir ensures that the number of free homecoming quotas provided is more than the previous year.
Special Staff to the Minister of State-Owned Enterprises, Arya Sinulingga, said that they are preparing a quota for 80,000 people, which is around 15,000 higher than the free homecoming program of State-Owned Enterprises in 2023.
"Free homecoming is available, let's increase the quota. The quota is 80,000," said Arya in Jakarta, quoted from Liputan6.com, Thursday, February 22, 2024.
Arya said, this free BUMN homecoming applies to almost all modes of transportation. Starting from land transportation using buses, trains, to ships. Meanwhile, there is no free homecoming for air transportation.
To be known, during the previous Lebaran moment in 2023, Free Homecoming by State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) was opened for 65,603 registered individuals, with 4 types of transportation modes. There were 76 BUMN and subsidiary companies participating, coordinated under PT Jasa Raharja.
The details are as follows, 46,523 passengers on 1,009 buses, 15,658 passengers through 30 train sets, and 2,562 passengers by seven ships.
"This is part of the SOE's role in assisting the community who want to return home and gather with their beloved family on this special day," said the Minister of SOEs, Erick Thohir, on April 14, 2023."
