According to Kiai Aiyub, free shipping is made possible and allowed because the service provider or e-commerce party does not burden other parties. "This service provider offers discounts for certain conditions that are not deducted from the price given by the parties. Usually, there are such conditions, and those conditions are possible. Because it is not burdened on any party," said Kiai Aiyub at the Jusuf Anwar Building, Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia, Wednesday, September 27, 2023.

"If it is charged to the seller who is already included in the cost component or uses promotional funds from the margin, this is allowed. Even if it is charged to one party, it is already included in the cost component or the existing price. That's why if, for example, free shipping is charged to the seller, he uses the term promotional funds or takes it from the margin that he should have obtained. Well, in that context, it is possible and allowed," continued Kiai Aiyub.
