The construction of the apartment, which reportedly cost up to Rp1 trillion, was inaugurated directly by the number one person in Indonesia, President Joko Widodo (Jokowi), in the IKN area, on Thursday, December 21, 2023.

Jokowi hopes that the development of Pakubuwono Nusantara will become an international standard and a new innovation. "Two monumental apartment towers with an investment of approximately Rp 1 trillion will soon begin and create internationally standardized and environmentally friendly residences, and create comfort and efficiency as well as present progress and innovation," he said.

Jokowi requested that the Kodim IKN building be constructed in a modern manner and in accordance with the vision of IKN as a green area. He requested that its construction serve as an example for the construction of other buildings. "I entrust this because this area is a green area, the environment is also green, so we should avoid cutting down too many of these good trees in this environment, if possible, avoid it. So we hope that this Kodim can truly be an example for all Kodim offices throughout the country," he continued.
