Dream - Minister of Trade (Mendag), Zulkifli Hasan said that the mandatory halal certification policy is not only for food and beverage producers. But it also includes slaughterhouses (RPH) and poultry slaughterhouses (RPU).
Following the decision from the Halal Product Assurance Organizing Agency (BPJPH) of the Ministry of Religious Affairs regarding halal certification in food and beverage products. The obligation of halal certification for RPH must be fulfilled no later than October 2024.

Mendag Zulkifli Hasan said as quoted from Liputan6.com.
Mendag Zulkifli Hasan has also directly observed the chicken cutting process at RPH Unggas Rawa Kepiting, East Jakarta, on Saturday, May 4, 2024. According to him, cleanliness, poultry health, and the cutting method must be taken seriously.
