Dream - The leader of the Indian conglomerate Reliance and the richest person in Asia, Ambani, is known for never doing things halfway when it comes to throwing parties. Most recently, the man with a net worth of US$114 billion or around Rp1.350 trillion held a three-day prewedding party for his youngest son, Anant Ambani (28).
The pre-wedding celebration will entertain 1,200 guests and take place in a city in Jamnagar, western Gujarat. The wedding of Anant and Radhika Merchant (29) itself will be held in July.
The couple will also hold a dinner together for the villagers who serve 51,000 people. In addition to singer Rihanna, American magician David Blaine will also perform at the wedding ceremony in the temple complex.
Apart from that, a number of world figures and conglomerates will also attend the wedding. Among them are Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, fellow Indian billionaires Gautam Adani and Kumar Mangalam Birla. Bollywood film stars such as Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, and Salman Khan. Cricket stars Sachin Tendulkar and M.S. Dhoni are also invited to the event.
Rihanna is reported to have received a payment of 6 million US dollars or around IDR 94 billion to entertain guests from various countries.
During the party, guests can enjoy 500 dishes prepared by around 100 chefs. Guests are also pampered with hair stylists, makeup artists, and fashion stylists from India. This wedding is expected to surpass their daughter Isha's most expensive wedding party in 2018, which reportedly cost US$100 million or around Rp1.5 trillion and featured megastar Beyonce.
