Dream - Premium sportswear retailer from the United States (US), Lululemon, will close one of its distribution centers in Sumner, Washington, by the end of 2024. This closure is due to declining sales.

Apart from that, this Vancouver-based company will also initiate layoffs for 128 employees starting from June 21, 2024 as part of business optimization efforts.

The company spokesperson also stated that some employees will be retained and transferred to other facilities, including the newly opened distribution center in the Los Angeles area.

Lululemon in 2021 has signed a new contract for a distribution center spanning 1.26 million square feet in Ontario, California. The lease will end in 2039.

Lululemon, whose shares have fallen more than 31% this year, also has a distribution center in Groveport, Ohio, while most of its other facilities are located in the United States, Canada, and Australia.
