Dream - The Constitutional Court (MK) mentioned the peculiarity of the increase in performance allowances (tukin) for the Election Supervisory Board (Bawaslu) one day before the 2024 election.
This was conveyed when the Constitutional Court (MK) read the verdict regarding the dispute over the results of the 2024 general election or the presidential election dispute filed by presidential and vice-presidential candidates 01 Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar.
Constitutional judge Daniel Yusmic P Foekh conveyed that the increase in tukin (monthly salary allowance) not only applies to election organizers but also obtained by the ranks of ministries and other institutions.
Said Daniel at the Constitutional Court Building, Jakarta, quoted from Liputan5.com, Monday, April 22, 2024.
According to Daniel, the panel of judges assessed that the Applicant's argument failed to prove the existence of interference with the independence of Bawaslu after the salary increase.
"So that the Court does not find confidence in the truth of the Applicant's a quo argument," he explained. "Based on the aforementioned legal considerations, the Court considers the Applicant's argument to be unreasonable according to the law," Daniel continued.
The Constitutional Court (MK) held a session to read the verdict of the Dispute over the General Election Results (PHPU) or the 2024 presidential election dispute today, Monday, April 22, 2024. The session was conducted openly at around 09.00 AM WIB.
MK holds a Case for the lawsuit of presidential and vice presidential candidate number one, Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar, registered with number 1/PHPU.PRES-XXII/2024, while for the lawsuit of candidate number three, Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud Md is 2/PHPU.PRES-XXII/2024. Both pairs request MK to cancel KPU Decision Number 360 of 2024 which determines the results of the 2024 presidential and vice presidential elections.
Both also asked the Constitutional Court to declare the disqualification of candidate number two, Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka, as a participant in the 2024 presidential election, and ordered the Election Commission (KPU) to conduct a re-vote without the presence of the said candidate.
