Dream - Booyoung Group, a construction company based in Seoul, South Korea, is ready to provide a benefit to its employees amounting to US$75,000 or equivalent to Rp1.18 billion every time they have a baby. The allowance is given to help the very low birth rate in the country known for its K-pop music.

Employees who have three children will be given the option to choose between receiving US$225,000 in cash or a house rental, if the government provides land for development. "I hope we will be recognized as a company that contributes to encouraging childbirth ... and concerns about the future of this country," Lee said to his employees.

According to the company's website, Booyoung Group was established in 1983 and since then has built more than 270,000 houses. The South Korean government and other private companies have offered financial incentives to encourage people to have more children, but none as large as those provided by Booyoung Group.

Last year, Trip.com, one of the world's largest online travel agents, announced that employees who have worked at the company for at least three years would receive an annual bonus of US$1,376. The bonus is given to employees who have a newborn child, from their first birthday until the child turns five years old.
