Dream - The General Election Commission (KPU) Chairman Hasyim Asy'ari was found to have violated ethics for accepting the registration of Gibran Rakabuming Raka as a vice presidential candidate (cawapres) and participating in the electoral process. This decision was made by the Election Organizer Honorary Council (DKPP).
Violation
DKPP assesses that Hasyim violated the code of ethics by processing Gibran's registration without changing the minimum age requirements for presidential and vice presidential candidates in accordance with the Constitutional Court Decision (MK) Number 90/PUU-XXI/2023.
The decision was read by the Chairman of DKPP, Heddy Lugito, during the verdict hearing on the alleged violation in the registration of Gibran Rakabuming Raka as a vice presidential candidate, on Monday, February 5, 2024.
