Dream - The term of office for village heads (kades) has now changed to a maximum of 8 years for 2 periods. This new policy was announced after the government and the Legislative Body (Baleg) of the DPR agreed on the revision of the Village Law (RUU) at the first level. "One crucial point is that the term of office for village heads is a maximum of 8 years for 2 periods. As the chairman of the working committee, I led the meeting at Baleg and everything was decided and accepted," said Chairman of the Working Committee for the Village Law and Vice Chairman of the DPR Baleg, Achmad Baidowi, on Tuesday, February 6, 2024.
"The Village Bill has been discussed and will be continued according to the applicable mechanisms in the next plenary session. Then, what is the salary obtained by the village head?"
The salary of the village head is regulated in Government Regulation (PP) Number 11 of 2019 concerning the Second Amendment to Government Regulation Number 43 of 2014 concerning the Implementation Regulation of Law Number 6 of 2014 concerning Villages.
Fixed income received by the village head to village officials, is budgeted in the Village Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBDesa) sourced from the Village Fund Allocation (ADD).
APBDesa is used with the provision of at least 70% for village spending and 30% for salaries up to village government allowances.
The amount of salary received by the village head is stipulated in article 81 paragraph 2 (a), where the fixed income of the village head is at least Rp2,426,640 or equivalent to 120% of the basic salary of Civil Servants (PNS) in grade II/A.
As for village secretaries, they receive a minimum salary of Rp2,224,420 or equivalent to 110% of the basic salary of civil servants in grade II/A.
Then the other village officials, the minimum salary received is Rp2,022,200 or equivalent to 100% of the basic salary of civil servants in grade II/A.
Apart from salary, village heads also receive allowances in the form of village management land. This allowance is regulated in Government Regulation Number 11 of 2019 Article 100.
