Approaching the Peak of Hajj, Salawat Bus Stops Operating from 6 to 13 Zulhijjah 1444 H

Dream - In addition to the catering service that will be suspended for three days, the free transportation service of Salawat Bus, which serves Indonesian pilgrims during the Hajj season, will also be temporarily discontinued.

"Starting from 6 to 13 Zulhijjah, the Salawat Bus service will be temporarily stopped," said the Chairman of the Indonesian Hajj Organizing Committee (PPIH) in Saudi Arabia, Subhan Cholid, in Mecca, on Monday, June 12, 2023.

The Salawat Bus is a transportation service for pilgrims from their hotels to the Masjid al-Haram, and vice versa. The bus operates 24 hours a day.

Subhan reminds the pilgrims to stay in the hotel and prepare themselves physically, especially since the weather is very hot.

"The pilgrims are advised to focus on worshiping in their respective hotel prayer rooms, especially during the absence of the Salawat Bus service. The weather is very hot, so the pilgrims can focus on physical preparation," he said.

According to Subhan, starting from 6 Zulhijjah, the bus fleet will be prepared for transportation services to Arafah, Muzdalifah, and Mina (Armuzna).

The pilgrims are scheduled to depart for Arafah on 8 Zulhijjah. On 13 Zulhijjah, the pilgrims will return from Mina to their respective hotels in Mecca.

"The Salawat Bus service will resume on 14 Zulhijjah 1444 H until 6 Muharram 1445 H," he added.

He also mentioned that 450 buses have been prepared for the Salawat Bus service. There are three stopping terminals, namely Ajyad, Mahbas Jin, and Syib Amir.

Indonesian pilgrims residing in the Misfalah area will stop at the Ajyad Terminal when going to the Masjid al-Haram. The same applies when returning.

Meanwhile, pilgrims residing in the Jarwal, Raudhah, and Syisah areas will use the Syib Amir Bus Terminal. As for pilgrims in Mahbas Jin, they will use the Bab Ali Terminal.

Not only that, Subhan also explained that this year PPIH has prepared elderly-friendly buses at the Ajyad Terminal (Misfalah) and Syib Amir Terminal (Jarwal, Raudhah, and Syisah).

"Alhamdulillah, all routes in Syib Amir and Ajyad have elderly-friendly buses available. As for the Mahbas Jin Terminal route, it is an international route. Buses on this route are also used jointly by pilgrims from various countries," he explained.

"Around 200 personnel have been assigned to provide services to pilgrims at the three terminals and their nearest stops," he concluded.
