All New Agya Boosts Toyota's Sales Volume

By the end of March 2023, there were more than 2,400 SPKs for the All New Agya.

Sleek with All New Agya GR Sport, Not LCGC

Dream - All New Agya GR Sport recently debuted with a driving performance that adopts a new engine and suspension system that has received special tuning from GAZOO Racing.

To directly experience the Fun to Drive Feelings of this more powerful and sporty Compact Hatchback, Dream Journalist Ferdike Yunuri tested the All New Agya GR Sport at the Garuda Wisnu Kencana (GWK) Circuit in Bali.

Adopting a new 1,200 cc 3-cylinder Dual VVT-i engine with 88 PS power and higher torque at 113 Nm, this car has an acceleration that makes driving feel agile and as expected.

New CVT Transmission

The performance of this car is also strengthened by the use of a new CVT transmission developed with fixed gear ratio. In addition, the CVT transmission is also equipped with Active D Control technology to create Fun to Drive Feelings.

Toyota also performed special tuning on the power steering with a higher power monitor, and the steering gear with a lower gear ratio, to produce agile and responsive handling, while still maintaining stability.

Fun to Drive

All New Agya becomes even more Fun to Drive with the presence of Power Mode on the steering wheel. When this mode is activated, the car's engine provides a more responsive response and is able to bring a faster and sportier driving experience.

This car also uses EPS with a closer gear ratio to improve accuracy in steering and more agility when maneuvering. It is also equipped with sport tires to provide optimal grip.

These adjustments increase the steering response of the All New Agya GR Sport by up to 50 percent and reduce the steering angle by up to 45 percent. So it is very comfortable to drive at high speeds.

Not LCGC

All New Agya is the second generation after 10 years ago, when it was first launched in September 2013 as the first generation playing in the low cost and green car (LCGC) segment.

However, this time Toyota Astra Motor (TAM) distinguishes the new generation Agya as a Low Cost Green Car (LCGC) product and a regular hatchback. The standard variant enjoys the advantages of LCGC, plus the highest GR Sport non LCGC version.

TAM emphasizes that the segmentation of All New Agya and Agya GR Sport is different. If we look at this, the positioning is similar to the Honda Brio Satya (LCGC) and Brio RS (non-LCGC).

In the GR Sport variant, there are two options, manual transmission and automatic CVT. PT Toyota Astra Motor prices the Agya 1.2 GR-S M/T at Rp 237,500,000, while the Agya 1.2 GR-S CVT is priced at Rp 253,500,000 on the road in Jakarta.
