The second generation of the All New Agya GR Sport is presented as a compact hatchback that has undergone many improvements to further strengthen the Sporty, Aggressive, and Reliable DNA of the Agya GR Sport and provide Fun to Drive Feelings.

Adopting a New Engine

The All New Agya GR Sport now not only uses a new platform, but also adopts a new 1,200 cc 3-cylinder Dual VVT-i engine with 88 PS power and higher torque at 113 Nm.

Its performance is also enhanced by the use of a new CVT transmission developed with a fixed gear ratio, making it capable of producing faster and more linear acceleration. In addition, the CVT transmission is also equipped with Active D Control technology to achieve a balance between acceleration and fuel efficiency. To make it more fun to drive, paddle shift feature is also available.

Various routes and interesting destinations have been prepared specifically to try and experience firsthand the changes that are the advantages of the All New Agya GR Sport.

Crossing Urban Road Contours

On the first day, upon arriving at I Gusti Ngurah Rai Bali Airport, journalists from the Journalist Test Drive immediately drove the All New Agya GR Sport to the Puri Lukisan Museum, covering a distance of approximately 37.7 kilometers.

This journey to the North of Bali Island passes through urban road contours, allowing Dream to also experience the agility of the All New Agya GR Sport when navigating through more crowded streets.

The improvement in low engine speed provides better power agility while remaining fuel efficient with an average fuel consumption of over 21 km/liter.

Dream - The latest generation of Toyota Agya was launched on March 10, 2023. The presence of the All New Agya and All New Agya GR Sport has received positive responses.

The latest Toyota car has a starting price of Rp167 million for the LCGC variant and Rp250 million for the GR Sport variant.

Henry Tanoto, Vice President Director of Toyota Astra Motor (TAM), revealed that the reception of the Agya among the Indonesian public has been quite good. This is evident from the hundreds of Vehicle Purchase Orders (VPOs) received.

"Ten days since the launch, we have received 549 VPOs across Indonesia, which is quite good. We see enthusiasm from the community, both for the GR Sport and non-GR Sport versions," said Henry.

The performance of this hatchback is strengthened by a new CVT transmission developed with a fixed gear ratio, allowing for faster and more linear acceleration.

In addition, the CVT transmission is equipped with Active D Control technology that operates more quietly under normal conditions while maintaining fuel efficiency, but still able to provide instant acceleration.

Available in E and G types, the exterior design of the Agya is developed to create a sporty, powerful, and aggressive image. Thanks to the new design, the Agya has better aerodynamic performance with a 3% lower coefficient of drag, making the Agya more stable and agile.

The front side looks aggressive thanks to the sharp bumper design and compact and wide volume, creating a strong body posture. The aggressive impression is reinforced by the sharp LED headlamp design and vertical LED illumination lamp. The All-front LED Lamp strengthens the dynamic, modern, and sophisticated impression with features such as Follow Me Home and Auto Cut Off.

From the side, the Agya's design looks powerful with its large and sturdy wheel arches, as well as sharp and aggressive body lines. This entry hatchback also looks more aerodynamic and powerful due to its longer, lower, and wider body posture, reinforced by solid curves on the side doors that flow dynamically to the rear. Agya E type uses 14-inch steel wheels, while the G type already uses 14-inch alloy wheels.

The use of a new platform provides space for Toyota engineers to improve cabin comfort. The horizontal design concept gives a more sophisticated and driver-oriented impression to showcase a sporty and high-quality interior.

The instrument panel and door trim adopt a 3D texture to provide a sophisticated nuance. The center console and transmission lever are raised higher to maintain driver ergonomics based on human-centered design.

As an exciting car that offers value in line with current customer trends and lifestyles, the Agya is equipped with the latest Toyota features and technologies. It comes with a 7-inch Head Unit audio complete with mirroring feature, as well as Bluetooth, AUX-IN, and USB connectivity. Tilt steering and Front & Rear Separated Head Rest are available in all types, while the G type also includes Digital AC, Steering Switch, and Push Start Button.

For the CVT type, there are Paddleshift and Power Mode available to maximize power distribution for a more fun driving experience. Electric Mirror is also a standard feature in the E and G types, while the G type gets the additional Smart Entry System feature.

The Agya GR Sport is equipped with an aero kit that improves the aerodynamics of this Sporty Hatchback. The addition of downforce allows it to maneuver with stability and agility. The Agya GR Sport is also supported by tuning in the power steering with a higher power motor, a steering gear with a lower gear ratio, and a suspension system that adopts more rigid shock absorbers and coil springs, reinforced by the use of sport tires for more responsive steering and superior handling.

In the cabin, there are several signature GR Sport touches, such as dark silver ornament color on the AC grille, GR Sport logo, and red stitching on the front seats and bottom of the steering wheel, which are made of synthetic leather, floor mats, and a leather shift knob.

There are 7 color options, namely White, Silver, Gray, Black, Yellow, Red, and Orange. The GR Sport type is only available in White, Black, Yellow, and Red, including two-tone color options with a black-painted roof for the White and Red color options.
