Dream - Implementing a healthy lifestyle has long-term effects. Lifestyle factors such as regular exercise, duration of sleep, types of food consumed, and consistent meal times are important for health and even affect lifespan.
A recent study published in the Journal Frontiers in Nutrition revealed that those who have dinner earlier will live longer. This study focused on L'Aquila, a province in Abruzzo, Italy. The study used a high population of nonagenarians, people aged between 90 and 99, and centenarians, people aged 100 years.
When surveying 68 nonagenarians and centenarians in the region, researchers found that on average, most of them have dinner earlier, usually around 19:13 every night.
The researchers also noted that the group followed a strict calorie regimen. They maintained low-calorie intake for 17.5 hours from dinner until lunch the next day.Â
The respondents generally consumed cereals, vegetables, fruits, and nuts in high amounts. On the other hand, they consumed meat, processed meat, eggs, and sweets in small amounts. In addition, they also remained physically active by doing their own maintenance on their land.
"Our findings support the importance of daily calorie restriction, inhibiting postprandial nocturnal stress, and optimizing metabolic response, associated with high consumption of plant-based foods and physical activity for the long lifespan of centenarians from Abruzzo," the scientists said.
Maybe it can be imitated by Sahabat Dream, for a long life.
