Historical Dress Designer Nirina Zubir Bought 24 Years Ago, Now Wearing Again

"Dress by the First Designer Nirina"

In 2003 or 2004, Nirina, who was 23 years old at the time, decided to give herself a special gift. After receiving her first salary as an MTV VJ, Nirina decided to buy a dress from a renowned Indonesian designer, Biyan.

"Because the clothes I'm wearing are the first Indonesian designer clothes that I bought for myself with part of my salary as an MTV VJ in the early 2000s, maybe in 2003 or 2004? I kind of forgot... but what I remember vividly is walking alone to the store, entering and feeling a bit nervous because this 23-year-old girl had never had this experience before... aaah, that memory... it feels like it happened just yesterday!!"

"Dress Safe from Fire"

Life doesn't always go smoothly. In 2011, Nirina experienced one of the most tense moments in her life. Her house caught fire, destroying many valuable items, including her clothing collection in the wardrobe. However, amidst the debris and ashes, those historical clothes managed to survive. "So, these are some of Nirina's past relics. Unfortunately, the rest has been burnt to ashes by the fire," Nirina added.

This beautiful dress is not just clothing for Nirina. It is a symbol of her life journey, from the early days of her career to facing big challenges in life.

Nirina expressed her respect and gratitude to the designer Biyan who created a feminine white lace dress with ruffle accents on the chest and a mini skirt. There are also touches of black motifs arranged on the skirt, which give a contrasting color to this dress.
