"Dream - The Chinese car manufacturer, BYD, recently launched its first Multi Purpose Electric Vehicle (MPEV) in Indonesia, the BYD M6, at the GIIAS 2024 event last July. Starting the journey from the BYD Haka Auto Dealer in Cibubur, we immediately hit the gas via the Cipularang Toll Road. On the dashboard, there is a head unit screen that can rotate 90 degrees with a size of 12.8 inches.

The infotainment system such as Apple Carplay and Android Auto, as well as Bluetooth, certainly accompanies and entertains us on this unforgettable journey. Accessing it is very easy and does not feel awkward. Especially for me, who is trying the BYD electric car for the first time. The same goes for accessing other buttons, such as auto hold, hazard, and driving mode, which are placed on the center console. The transmission lever with a conventional shape is also located on the center console.

One more thing that is impressive is that it has very soft suspension. The front suspension uses a MacPherson strut type and multi-link at the back, similar to luxury European cars. Changing positions, I, who am 180 cm tall, tried sitting in the second row and it still felt comfortable. The legroom still has about two heads of space, and the headroom also feels spacious.

The storage space in the second row is also quite ample, starting from the storage pockets behind the driver and front passenger seats. There are also door trims that can hold smartphones and a card holder. Meanwhile, for the third row, perhaps taller owners like myself will feel a bit uncomfortable, as both leg room and head room are limited, barely enough for one head.
