Frankielen's husband, Padilha, revealed that during the critical period, his wife called him asking him to come home from the plantation immediately.

Hearing this, Padilha immediately returned to accompany his wife. At that time, his wife complained of unbearable headaches.

However, when Padilha arrived home, Frankielen was already found trembling, vomiting, crying, and unconscious.

After three days of undergoing various brain examinations, the doctors declared that Frankielen's brain had died.

At that time, the doctors said that the twin fetuses could no longer be saved.

However, further medical developments changed the doctors' decision.

The mother who had been declared brain dead was able to maintain her fetus until it reached seven months of pregnancy.

This event made history in the medical world. The 123-day period was the longest duration of life support usage in human history.

Furthermore, after Frankielen's death, her heart and kidneys were donated to help those in need of organ transplants.
