Too Honest, This Child Makes His Father Sentenced Heavier for Speaking the Truth

However, it turns out that goodness after honesty does not apply to this father. He actually received a heavier sentence from the judge because of his child's honesty in court.

A funny incident was recorded in a trial when a boy made his father receive a heavier punishment than the one that had been imposed initially.

Initially, the judge named Frank Caprio imposed a sentence according to the traffic violation committed by a man in Rhode Island.

However, the honesty of his son informing his father's second violation made the judge give him an additional punishment.

Reported from goodtimes.my, a man named Eric Nelson received a punishment for violating traffic rules. He was seen coming to the trial with his son.

"Good morning, sir. Mr. Nelson, you are charged with running a red light on Paddington Road. Let's watch this video," the judge said.

The judge played a video of Eric Nelson's violation. His car was seen running a red light at a road intersection.

"The light was red and that was his car," he added.

During the process, the judge had a conversation with the child. With an innocent face, the child revealed that his father ran a red light again on the way to the trial location.

"Dad ran a red light again today!", said the child.

The judge, hearing the child's statement, immediately asked the child again about his father's mistake.

"Did he also speed?," the judge asked.

"Yes," the child answered loudly and smiled.

The child's father then joked and said he would leave his child in the trial because he made his father sentenced much heavier.

"Dad will leave you here," Eric said.

The judge then added a fine of almost Rp1 million to Eric for the new violation he committed.

Apparently, the honesty of the child drew sympathy from netizens, as they flocked to fill the comments section of the uploaded video.
