The complaint does not always appear, but many mothers who have just undergone a cesarean section also shiver heavily. According to Dr. Purnawan Senoaji, an obstetric and gynecology specialist (SPOG), this condition is actually quite normal.
Then what is the reason for the mother's body shivering after a cesarean operation? There are many factors that make the mother feel cold and tremble after the operation. One of them is the use of anesthesia drugs.

He also revealed that the cold temperature in the operating room could also be the cause. The operating room is indeed made very cold to maintain the sterilization of medical equipment for surgery.
"The room of the operating room, which is usually kept sterile, needs to have a lower temperature," said Dr. Purnawan.
Another cause is the use of certain drugs to help the contraction of the uterus. One of the side effects of using these drugs is that the mother will feel trembling, but it is temporary.
"So once the mother has left the operating room, the medications have started to wear off and usually will improve again," said Dr. Purnawan.
