Dream - Idul Adha falls on the 10th of Dzuhijjah. This is one of the noble days for Muslims worldwide. Before welcoming this moment, there are various practices that friends of Dream can do. Besides following the sunnah, these practices can also bring abundant rewards. Well, one of those practices is fasting the sunnah before Idul Adha. There are three recommended sunnah fasts for Muslims before the arrival of the Idul Adha holiday. What are these fasts?

The first virtue is that the rewards are multiplied compared to worship in other months. The Prophet Muhammad said, "There are no days in which Allah likes to be worshipped more than the first ten days of the month of Dhu al-Hijjah. Fasting for one day during this period is equivalent to fasting for one year, and praying during one night is equivalent to praying on the Night of Power." (Narrated by At-Tirmidhi)

The next virtue of fasting the sunnah in the month of Dhu al-Hijjah is that it erases sins. That is, fasting on the 9th of Dhu al-Hijjah is able to erase sins for two years. The Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said, "Fasting on Arafah (9th of Dhu al-Hijjah) can erase sins from the previous year and the coming year. Fasting on Ashura (10th of Muharram) will erase sins from the previous year." (Narrated by Muslim)

The last virtue of fasting in Dzuhijjah is being freed from the fire of Hell on that day compared to other days. The Prophet Muhammad said: "There is no day on which Allah frees His servants from the Hellfire more than on the Day of Arafah, and He approaches and boasts about them to the angels, saying: 'What do they desire?'"
