"Is it Permissible to Combine the Intentions of Akikah and Qurbani? There are Differences of Opinion Among Scholars"

"Aqiqah is performed when a child is born, while Qurban is performed on the 10th of Dhu al-Hijjah."
"Dream - Akikah and Qurban are forms of worship in Islam that both involve the sacrifice of animals, with the meat distributed for consumption by the poor and nearby neighbors. Akikah is performed as a form of gratitude for the birth of a son or daughter by slaughtering a goat. The meat from the goat will later be cooked into dishes and given as charity. Meanwhile, Qurban is a worship ritual conducted every 10th of Dzulhijjah, known as the Day of Sacrifice or Eid al-Adha."
The Muslim community will offer sacrifices in the form of livestock such as cows, sheep, buffalo, and camels. So, is it permissible to combine the intentions of aqiqah and qurbani? This question mostly comes from people who do not yet understand the legalities of combining the intentions of these two acts of worship.
Akikah is carried out by parents as a form of gratitude for the birth of their son or daughter. That is by slaughtering a goat.
"For a boy, two goats should be slaughtered. Meanwhile, for a girl, one goat should be slaughtered. The law of akikah itself is a sunah muakkad, meaning it is makruh to neglect it when one is able. The term 'able' refers to having sufficient wealth to perform akikah, which is surplus from one's basic personal needs and the needs of those for whom one is responsible for providing sustenance. Meanwhile, the qurban is carried out on the 10th of Dzulhijjah. In qurban, it is permissible to slaughter goats, sheep, cows, buffaloes, and camels."
The law of sacrifice itself is a sunah muakkad or a strengthened sunah as confirmed by Imam Malik and Imam Syafi'i. Meanwhile, Imam Abu Hanifah opines that the law of sacrifice for residents who are capable and not in a state of travel is obligatory.
"Regarding whether it is permissible to combine the intentions of akikah and qurbani, in this case, there are differing opinions among the Syafi'iyyah scholars."
Quoted from nu.or.id, according to Imam Ibn Hajar Al-Haitami, if one combines the intentions of both, that person will only succeed in obtaining the reward of one of them. Meanwhile, according to Imam Romli, he can receive the rewards of both. According to Al-Hafidz Ibn Hajar Al-Asqalani from the tabi'in in the book Fathul Bari, a person who has not been circumcised by their parents, and then performs the sacrifice, will have their sacrifice suffice for them and there is no need for circumcision.
So, in this case, there are two opinions, namely the opinion that allows combining the intentions of akikah and qurban with just one animal according to Imam Romli. And according to Ibn Hajar Al-Asqalani, if it is slaughtered at the time of qurban, then only the intention of qurban is necessary. This has fulfilled the requirements of the sunah of akikah for someone.
