"O Allah, make in my heart a light, and in my tongue a light, and in my hearing a light, and in my sight a light, and in my back a light, and in my front a light, and above me a light, and below me a light. O Allah, grant me light." (Narrated by Bukhari and Muslim)

Next, the following verse from At-Tahrim verse 8 can also be practiced as a prayer to be given light and forgiveness from Allah SWT. Here is the recitation of the prayer: رَبَّنَا اَتْمِمْ لَنَا نُوْرَنَا وَاغْفِرْ لَنَا اِنَّكَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيْرٌ Rabbanâ atmim lanâ nûranâ waghfir lanâ, innaka 'alâ kulli syai'in qadîr Meaning: "O our Lord, perfect for us our light and forgive us. Indeed, You are Able to do all things."
