Performing at IKN
This time it happened when Mr. Bas, his familiar nickname, performed together with Band Gigi at the Nusantara appreciation night at IKN, East Kalimantan, on Friday, September 22, 2023.
At that moment, Mr. Basuki's drumstick broke while accompanying the performance of the band Gigi. Initially, Basuki's drum beats seemed in harmony with Gigi's drummer, Gusti Hendy.
However, after playing 1 song, Basuki's drumstick was seen broken. The incident immediately made the members of Band Gigi and President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) laugh.
"Oh broken-broken," said Armand Maulana, the vocalist of Gigi. Basuki was seen laughing and raising his broken drumstick up.
"Mr. Jokowi's drumstick broke, Mr. Bas's drumstick broke, but Hendy's drumstick didn't break," Armand continued. Dewi Gita's husband also praised Basuki's performance, who still enthusiastically plays the drums at his not-so-young age."
It is known that Minister Basuki is now almost 70 years old. "Applause once again for Mr. Bas," exclaimed Armad to the audience. In the event, President Jokowi was accompanied by several important officials.
"Appreciation"
President Jokowi in his speech expressed appreciation to all parties who have supported the development of IKN. "I would like to express my deepest gratitude to the entire community around the Archipelago Capital who have provided full support for the development of our Archipelago Capital," said Jokowi.
"Specifically, the President also expressed appreciation to all workers who are currently building infrastructure in IKN, ranging from office buildings, roads, housing, to other public facilities. "Thank you very much to all the workers who are present tonight, who have worked day and night. I know, day and night indeed, to quickly complete, realize our capital, Nusantara," said Jokowi. "Prayers and blessings from all the people and all the workers, once again we say thank you," said Jokowi."
