Dream - For some final year students, the thesis is a dreaded thing that is always feared. The complicated process of working on it, the thesis still needs to be examined by the lecturer to determine whether it is worthy or not as a scientific work.

Many students are afraid to undergo thesis defense. Especially if they get a killer examiner who always makes students nervous. Apparently, the tense atmosphere of thesis examination has been common since long ago. In the past, thesis examinations were much scarier compared to now.

As seen in the Instagram account post @perfectlifeid, this post shows the atmosphere of the thesis defense of FISIP UI students in 1990.

Based on the information, a male student majoring in Criminology at UI is undergoing a thesis examination in a room with 6 scary-looking examiners. The atmosphere of the thesis defense is filled with tension.

In that room, there are also other students who are witnessing the thesis defense. It is suspected that those students are friends of the student who is currently undergoing the defense.

"Not like now where presentations use power point, in the past students had to sit in a chair facing the examiner. Meanwhile, papers were piled up on their desk. Interestingly, students did not wear black and white clothes like today's students during thesis defense."

After presenting the thesis, one of the examiners in the room asked the student a question. The man in the blue shirt then recorded all the questions given by the examiner in the book he brought.

After the session, the student shook hands with the examiners while smiling relieved.
