Dream - Basuki Tjahaja Purnama alias Ahok officially announced his resignation from his position as President Commissioner of PT Pertamina.
The news was delivered by Ahok through his Instagram account @basukibtp, on Friday, February 2, 2024. In the post, a photo of Ahok holding a resignation letter with a wet signature addressed to Pertamina and the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises can be seen.

The former Governor of Jakarta stated his reason for resigning from the position of President Director of Pertamina because he wants to support the campaign of the presidential and vice-presidential candidate number 3, Ganjar Pranowo and Mahfud MD.
"He also emphasized that the decision is proof to avoid any further confusion regarding his political direction in the 2024 Presidential Election."
