The Rostock City Hall in Germany has announced that archaeologists have discovered a devil's curse inscription on a 15th-century tablet. This discovery was revealed during the construction process to expand the Rostock City Hall.
"During the construction project, an interesting discovery emerged from a medieval toilet hole - a hidden sheet of lead. In historical records, it was revealed that in the 14th century, there stood a house at the location with a double roof recognized as one of the most stunning in all of Northern Germany."
"After opening the tin sheet, it was written "sathanas taleke belzebuk hinrik berith", which directs the devil's curse against a man named Hinrik and a woman named Taleke."
The text is written in the Blackletter font known as Gothic Minuscule or Tectura. This writing was popularly used throughout Western Europe from the 12th century to the 17th century.

Used for Special Requests to the Gods and Spirits.
"In the ancient Greco-Roman era, curse inscriptions became common. Usually, these curses were written on thin sheets of lead that were then rolled up. The purpose of these curses was to petition a god, spirit, or deceased individual to perform a specific action on a certain person or object, or to exert influence over the target of the curse."
The researchers state that the discovery in Rostock is very rare, especially with the presence of a spell that includes the name Beelzebub, another term for the Devil. The use of the term "Berith" in the curse refers to Ba’al Berith, which is identified with Beelzebub, who is recognized as the Lord of Flies in Rabbinic tradition.

The translation of "Alasan Dari Kutukan Tersebut." to English is "The Reason for the Curse."
"Additionally, they stated that the reasons for the curse could include a desire to end a relationship, jealousy, unrequited love, or a wish to make the two mentioned individuals feel pressured."
"The remnants of the basement and foundation from the 16th and 17th centuries, traces of former water channels, and a blue glazed bowl from the 15th century from Valencia, Spain, were found during the excavation."
