The initial results show that the hands of this mermaid are lizard-like legs, most likely from a komodo, and the head and body of a monkey sewn onto the body of a decapitated fish. In the scans, it was also revealed that there is a pair of wooden poles inside this mummy, one extending from head to tail and the other crossing the shoulders, which may have been added to keep this creature intact.

Interestingly, this mummy is not the only one that has undergone intensive scanning. A similar specimen was found in a hidden box in a Japanese temple in March 2022. It was also discovered that the mummy is primarily made of cloth, paper, and cotton, painted with sand and charcoal, and bound with iron nails. Initially thought to be of monkey and fish descent. The outer part of this doll is also equipped with various animal parts, including mammal hair and fish skin.
